I have a Master of Science in Engineering degree from the Technical University of Denmark (2001) and a Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the same university (2004). During the study for my master’s degree, I focused mostly on scientific computing [3], especially linear ill-posed problems [4] and image reconstruction [1][2]. Studying for my Ph.D., the topic got more mathematical and turned to boundary control for linear evolution PDEs. The focus was on what happens when going from continuous representations to discrete approximations, and also considered (large-scale) computed solutions [5][6].
